An 81-year-old man who went missing from Hutton has been found.

Eric William Coates was last seen in the early hours of this morning (Thursday, June 8) in The Dellway area.

He was found in the Liverpool Road area close to Much Hoole.

Eric William Coates was last seen in the early hours of this morning (Thursday, June 8) in The Dellway area.

He is described as white, 5ft 10in tall, with grey hair. He walks with a stumbling gait and was wearing pale-coloured jeans at the time of his disappearance.

Police are extremely concerned for his welfare and are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact officers.

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: “We are appealing for information after a man went missing from Hutton.

“Eric William Coates was last seen today at an address in The Dellway area.

“He may appear in a confused state and it is crucial we find him as soon as possible.”
